How does the commission refund work?

When representing a home-buyer, our agents earn a commission from the seller, usually worth 2.5% - 3% of the home price. We keep 90% of the commission for our service (with a minimum fee of $6,500), and refund the rest to you.

Example:
  • You pay $500,000 for a house
  • The seller's agent pays us $15,000 (3%)
  • Your agent gets $13,500 (90%) Minus Company Expenses
  • We refund $1,500 back to you at closing (10%)

You Get A Refund Within 10 Days Of Closing

You can usually apply your refund to closing costs, and get the rest as a check within ten days of closing. The refund is tax-free. If you're using an FHA or VA loan, your lender's requirements may not allow you to receive a check from us for the portion of your refund amount not applied to closing costs. Be sure to ask them about their policy up-front so you'll know how your refund can be allocated.

If you sell one home and buy another through our company, you save even more. Rather than paying 3% of the home price to sell your home, you pay as low as 1.5% when you sell with us. And when you choose our team to represent you on both transactions, we reduce our fee by an additional $1,000 on the second transaction.*

The Fine Print

Your refund depends on the home's final price and the commission offered by its seller. A seller may always offer less or more. Our minimum fee is $6,500 on all transactions. You cannot use your refund as part of your down payment.
